You’ve grabbed your tickets and wrangled up your family and friends, and now it’s time to hit the road and head to the festival, but through all your excitement, you forgot to figure out how to get there. Not to worry! We’ve put together a guide to get you here stress free so all you need to focus on is which ribber you’re running to first.

By car

Take Highway 1 (Trans-Canada Highway)
Take Exit 119 for Yale Road West.
Turn right onto Vedder Road.
Continue on Vedder Road until you reach Petawawa Road.
Turn right onto Petawawa Road and follow it to Vedder River Park.

By shuttle

We are excited to offer a convenient and free shuttle service for all our festival attendees with 3 pickup locations!

1. UFV Parking Lots 3, 6-10

By Bus

Vedder River Park is accessible by BC Transit buses serving Chilliwack. The nearest bus stops are Tyson & K Wilson and K Wilson & Lindys, about a 2-minute walk from the park entrance. Check BC Transit schedules and plan your trip on their website.

By bike

The Vedder Rotary Loop Trail runs directly through Vedder River Park, making it easily accessible by bike. The 20+ km trail network follows the Vedder River and connects to several other parks and trails in the area.

All vendors will be accepting debit, credit and cash payments on site! If you’ve saved up some food truck bucks you can also use those too!

Want to buy some vouchers for friends or family? Order them here and you can and have them picked up at the event information booth when you visit on site!

We are always looking for new ways to work with awesome people like you. While we are nearly at full capacity for vendors this year we are still accepting applications to hold on file.

Yes, well-mannered dogs on leashes are welcome at Chilliwack Ribfest. We ask all pet owners to be responsible and clean up after their pets.

 
 

 

 

Partial proceeds from gate donations will support the Chilliwack Salvation Army, aiding their local initiatives.

Tickets

Tickets are available by donation and can be secured in advance through our website or at the event entrance. Visit our ticketing page for more information.

While we don’t have different ticket tiers, guests are welcome to change their chosen day of attendance without contacting us. Your digital ticket will help us plan and communicate important event updates but we will work an honour system at the front gate.

All donations for tickets are non-refundable; however, if you need to change the date of your attendance, you may do so freely. You are also welcome to grab your digital ticket without donating and donate directly at the gate if you prefer!

Early donations help us better prepare for the number of attendees, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone. Most importantly, it helps us project attendance so we can ensure the food vendors don’t sell out of your favourite eats!

 
 

 

 

Yes! You can enter the site as many times as you need with your ticket. Please note that well we won’t be checking tickets at the gate you may be subject to bag checks.

 
 

 

 

Food & Beverage

Besides top Canadian ribbers, the festival features an array of food trucks and a local artisan market with vendors like Island Jerky and Slow Sunday Foods Ltd. Vegetarian and vegan options will be available.

 
 

 

 

Outside food and beverages are not allowed. We encourage guests to enjoy the variety of food and beverages available for purchase at the event. The exception to this is of course products for your babies and toddlers!

Yes, alcoholic beverages can be purchased and consumed within our site wide beer garden at the designated bar areas by those 19 and over with valid ID. Two pieces of ID will be required to obtain an age verified wristband so if you plan on having a beverage or two be sure to check for your ID before you leave!

Yes, we require all vendors to use compostable service ware whenever possible and provide designated recycling, compost, and waste bins throughout the venue. Please don’t throw your cans or organics in the garbage! If you have questions or concerns about waste, please find the closest person wearing an event crew shirt and let them know!

Rules & Safety

The festival follows strict safety protocols with security and first aid teams on-site. Emergency exits are clearly marked, and we have plans in place for directing traffic to safety in case of emergencies

 
 

 

 

Yes, the site has been designed so it is fully accessible with ramps, no elevated areas, plenty of seating, and accessible restrooms.

Free shuttle service is provided for attendees, and accessible parking is available near the site entrance.

 
 

 

 

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, please refrain from bringing anything that could be used as a weapon, outside food and beverage, and large umbrellas. Also, unless authorized by the event team, please refrain from bringing drones, professional recording equipment. If you are looking to record your experience at Ribfest, please reach out to our media team to discuss collaboration opportunities. 

We take safety and guest experiences very seriously. If you have any concerns please look for the closest person to you wearing a event crew shirt for assistance. Security will also be roaming around the site in all areas so you can easily reach them as needed.
